Shah Jalal Uddin Ahmed, the chairman of Techno, is one of the leading pharmacists in Bangladesh. Before establishing this company, he had worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 19 years. His exceptional skills helped in the successful formulation of a series of key medicines, which gained a strong reputation across Bangladesh. These achievements sparked his entrepreneurial aspirations. Through founding a pharmaceutical company aimed at benefiting humanity, he not only infused his professional expertise into the production of medicines but also pursued new ideas to develop innovative drugs, thus utilizing his creativity and industry insight. More importantly, Techno has helped impoverished populations in Bangladesh access high-quality medicines at lower costs, contributing significantly to the country's healthcare sector.
As the founder of Techno Drugs Ltd., Shah Jalal Uddin Ahmed has consistently been committed to lifelong learning. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Medicine from the University of Dhaka in 1976 and his Master's degree in Medicine from the same university in 1977. He is a registered pharmacist with the Pharmacy Registration Council of Bangladesh. He is also a member of the Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Industry Association, a senior physician with the Bangladesh Medical Society, and a member of the Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Shah Jalal Uddin Ahmed has also undergone systematic pharmaceutical industry training from the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) in Japan. Moreover, he has visited countries like the UK, China, India, the USA, Germany, Sweden, and others for in-depth studies of their pharmaceutical industries.

- 2010: The company launched anti-cancer drugs, becoming the first in Bangladesh to produce oncology medicines.
- 2014: Techno Drugs Ltd. ranked fourth in the nation for pharmaceutical exports.
- 2015: Established the most advanced pharmaceutical industrial park in Bangladesh at BK Bari, Gazipur, placing the company among the top three pharmaceutical exporters in the country.
- 2016: Techno ranked third in national pharmaceutical exports.
- 2018: Became the largest producer of contraceptive injectables in Southeast Asia.
- 2019: Started producing contraceptive implants, becoming the first and only company in Bangladesh capable of manufacturing this product and one of only five companies globally.
- 2021: Established an overseas office in the UAE, serving as the marketing hub for the Middle East and Africa.
- 2024: Techno Drugs Ltd. entered into a partnership with DAWN Drugs Co., Ltd. to jointly explore international markets, including China.
